An Experiment: Small Businesses Getting Found in the Real Estate Agent Directory

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

As a small business owner, you have a job to do and probably don’t have the time or massive budget to blow on today’s competitive Google rankings.

So, is there a way to get your business  some exposure on Google without making it a full time job?

Let’s Try an Experiment:

If niche small businesses have difficulty finding people who’ll need their services, then real estate agents have an abundance of prospects… and an incredible amount of competition.

Real estate agents not only compete for Google rankings with other Realtors, but also large companies i.e. Remax, Century 21, Prudential

Let’s see if we can use the Referral Key Business Directory to give a Realtor better Google ranking:

Mike Dimella of Charlesgate Realty is a Realtor I had the pleasure of doing a video interview with. Charlesgate   Mike is a talented Realtor and I think giving Charlesgate an S.E.O boost is a great idea. Charlesgate Realty Group, LLC is a dynamic, full service real estate company based in Boston.

If all goes according to plan, Mike’s unique Referral Key profile URL: http://www.referralkey.com/profile/real-estate-real-estate-agent-charlesgate-realty-group/1,  should start appearing in Google searches over the next few days.

Once Mike’s unique URL gets indexed, so will the material in his profile.

If adding a Referral Key small business profile gets him even one referral, it’ll have been well worth the 2 minutes it took to create a free URL.

You can always check out Referral Key if you’re also interested in some free exposure.

A good referral strategy through Google searches isn’t about just adding a profile to your friend’s favorite social network, it’s about capitolizing on free space wherever you can!
