Clients I'm Seeking:

I custom design bridal veils and bridal accessories. I design for the upscale and couture market.

About My Business:

I have been designing bridal veils since 1979, when I designed my very first veil for my college room mate, Ginger. It was a Juliet Cap with a silk tulle cathedral length veil. It was truly memorable, since the tulle was floating in the air straight out from Ginger's head as she walked down the isle. As I worked in bridal salons over the years, millinery was always my first love. I started my own design business in 1993 as a dressmaker/designer making custom designed wedding gowns and formal wear. In 1997 I became the manager/buyer/and designer for Classic Weddings, Lancaster County, PA's leading bridal salon. I developed my own line of specialty veils, sterling silver and freshwater pearl headpieces and quality freshwater pearl jewelry that is the cornerstone of my line today. My work has continued to express my love of combining the classic with a sense of free spirit, for a design look that is truly timeless and that can be worn from generation to generation. Today's Damselfly Studio brides order their custom veils and headpieces through my online store on Etsy, www.damselflystudio.etsy.com There they will see my veil selections that they can either order as shown, or have customized to their needs. Veils can be made in either two types of silk tulle or quality nylon tulle with a variety of edgings such as embroidered pencil edge, silk ribbon, satin cord. I enjoy conversing with my brides through Etsy's message system or by telephone, and will work with each bride so that they find the exact veil that they want to best complement the wedding gown of their dreams.
