About John Rogers Burk, A Law Corporation Caring about people and helping them to achieve their family and estate planning goals comes first for Roger and his friendly and responsive staff. Clients are also offered periodic informational newsletters and specially tailored client seminars to provide them with ongoing quality estate planning resources. About John “Roger” Burk Interested in architecture in his youth, Roger studied architecture as an undergraduate. But his desire to work more closely with people and help them plan and solve problems led to the study of law. His ardent desire and deep commitment to the needs of each client lead to the design of unique and responsive estate plans. After starting his law practice in the San Francisco Bay Area where he grew up, Roger and his wife Linda moved their family to the Roseville area to provide a better environment for raising their children. Professional Experience Roger has been helping people plan their estates for over 30 years. He is a member of the State Bar of California Real Property Law Section and Trusts and Estates Section, the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, and the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. Roger also has an expertise in time share resorts and has helped establish some of the most prestigious time share projects. He is a Registered Resort Professional (RRP) with the American Resort Development Association (ARDA). Roger is also a member of the Planned Giving Committee of the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation where he chairs the South Placer Professional Roundtable. He regularly writes articles and gives seminars and workshops on estate planning and time sharing. Education Roger graduated from two California universities, the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Architecture and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law with a Juris Doctor degree. Personal Roger and Linda are the parents of 6 children, three of whom were adopted in Mexico. He is an active member of the community as a longtime member of the Rotary Club of Granite Bay, as a Family Relations teacher with his wife Linda, and with Linda, is a member of Roseville Toastmasters.
