Ken Willard worked for over 20 years in the business world leading teams with several Fortune 500 organizations. Most of this time was spent in the area of Leadership Education and Development. Ken has also been very involved in local church leadership most of his life holding various positions such as chair of Ad. Board, Dir. of Christian Ed., and Connections Coordinator. He currently teaches membership classes, Lead Like Jesus sessions, and a variety of leadership workshops.
Ken has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Masters of Adult Education and Training.
Ken is a certified DDI facilitator, certified Information Mapping writer, certified church consultant through the Society for Church Consulting, and member of the American Society for Training & Development.
In addition to consulting with churches who have plateaued or are in decline, Ken also coaches pastors, facilitates leadership workshops, and writes curriculum for pastoral and lay leadership development. One of the programs he wrote won the 2010 “Capturing Knowledge and Best Practices” category in the IMAP awards for writing. He also created and teaches a course on developing facilitation skills for individuals planning to teach leadership development.
Ken wrote Time Management for Peak Performance, a book currently being used for pastoral and lay leadership development; T3 Train-the-Trainer, a workbook for facilitation training; and a workbook for strategic planning for church leaders with Dr. David Hyatt and Kay Kotan.
