I do have 30 year extensive experience in the international heavy industries construction sector, (power, energy, oil & gas, onshore, offshore & sub-sea) during fabrication, heavy lifts / loading, transport, installation, hook up, completion, commissioning & Startup Support. My career has brought me through most of the positions in a project & therefore developed my skills, thereafter: • 12 years multi discipline; construction, program, project, safety, quality assurance, flawless project delivery, risk & opportunity management; during fabrication, loading / heavy lifts, installation, hookup, completion commissioning & startup, onshore & offshore. • 10 years mechanical, piping & structural supervisor during; fabrication, installation, hookup, completion, commissioning & startup, onshore & offshore. • 8 years as trades; fit-up & welding of piping steel structures during; fabrication, installation & maintenance turnover shut downs. The most important part for a project manager is to set up a system that will fulfill the projects objectives by integrating all the projects knowledge areas through these phases: 1. Identify & understand project objectives, scope & resources. 2. Break down & estimate man-hours required to execute the identified scope. 3. Estimate the Manpower required completing the project, on time, cost & quality. 4. Prepare scope baseline, based on the project charter, work break down structure & scope statement. 5. Prepare project schedule baseline, based on the project charter information; dates of initiation & completion. 6. Prepare cost baseline based the project charter information & the work break down structure. The above mentioned baselines are important to be able to monitor & control project scope, time & cost, this will be achieved by monitoring & controlling cost by controlling time, controlling time by controlling scope, resources, deliverables & interfaces.
