About My Business:
This is a little Bio of what I've done & who I am. First off, I was born in Canada, but I grew up in Brooklyn NY and lived in South Jamaica Queens. My very first jobs in the entertainment world were Blast Off Friday and Smack DVD. Smack DVD is a video music publication that I used to work with. I also worked as a co-host with two of my best friends DJ Eli, & DJ MJ for Community Radio at Long Island University's CW Post 88.1 FM "wcwp" Lockdown Radio every Saturday night from 7pm to 10pm, where we would conduct live interviews. I am a host of Chicago College Underground Radio. C.C.U.R. sponsors college radio as well as produces music videos and talk shows that I host. I have interviewed established artists such as Rick Ross, Usher, Fred the Godson, Jay-Z, R-Kelly, Mary J Blige, Melle Mel, Jim Jones, Papoose, Grafh, Maino, Skyzoo, Domination, Nina B, Lil Mama, Remy Ma, Red Cafe, Mega Phenom, T Pain, Keshia Cole, Mack10, Lupe Flasco, E-40, DJ RedAlert, Cruna, Deemi, Ron Artest, Alica Keys, Smitty, Eric, Benet, Tommy Hilfiger, Gino Green Global, Mashonda, Young Rich n Famous, Mariah Carey, AZ, Black Rob, Tony Yayo, Snoop Dogg, Rhymefest, One Chance, Luke & Q, Charlie Wilson, Tito Lopez, Trey Songz, and many more. I've also interviewed many underground artists, poets, talent agencies, and anyone else who liked to use our medium to promote their prospective projects, and similar functions. I have had the opportunity and the pleasure to meet with a lot of A & R's around the music world. I've also done work for Royal Addiction Clothing Co., A fashion line co-owned by Jamine from "The Wire". This was my introduction into the fashion world where I've made many connections with both designers and models. I also used to work with my girlfriend MJ in writing for the Connex List magazine that used to be put out quarterly by the Wonder Twinz. This magazine reviewed albums, mix tapes and up and coming artists. This magazine used to be a great networking tool that is full of industry contacts. In that time, I also worked for Shampoo from YNVS/Def Jam Marketing & Promotion & Street Team from April 2006 until April 2012. I have also partnered up and am working with Pay Up Management, Final Level Entertainment (Ice T), and Wisemen Ent., run by the legendary Force Md's. In addition to all that, Legendary AZ , Ice T & also Shampoo for Def Jam has helped me to start my own company "Music Speaks Power" which acronym is also the first 3 letters on my name "Mspenny". So here I am now, branched out on my own with all my connections and contacts and a business that can bring you to the top of whatever entertainment and/or fashion mountain you'd like to climb. I will do more than help you build a fan base. With my experience, connections and dedication I will build your press kit and make you a bigger priority. After promotional materials are distributed, I will follow up to ensure that everyone has received and reviewed their copies, and garner all initial reactions. My feedback reports begin at that point, and over the following months every opinion, positive or negative, will be noted. I will also aggressively pursue coverage, in terms of reviews, interview features, and I will collect all press clippings and decide on what pull-quotes (the industry term for the most saleable line from a review or feature) are most attractive to use in subsequent promotions. I have a long list of contacts within the media, retail, radio, fashion, and television arenas that can reliably produce tangible results. With my services, and industry connections I have the ability to get your material into the right hands. I am someone who has cultivated a strong and reliable network of relationships within the many entertainment industries, and will use these connections to promote you.
