Clients I'm Seeking:

The clients that I work with are adult individuals that are dealing with issues of: childhood sexual abuse, relationship with a sexually addicted partner, codependency, loss of identity and sense of purpose, depression, anxiety and women's issues. My ideal client is: * Willing to take responsibility for his/her own life, health, relationships, and success. * Understands that something needs to change * Has had enough pain (mental and/or physical) and is committed to doing whatever it takes to heal * Committed to change * Willing to let go of old ways, behaviors, and habits and try new things. * Aware that he/she needs to invest time, energy, and money in order to become the best that he/she can be. * Willing to look at the truth of his/her story with courage, even though it feels scary.

About My Business:

I believe: *that my role as a counselor is to be a companion, guide and soul-friend - gently supporting and encouraging clients along the path to healing, self-discovery and self-acceptance.   * that it is important to take a holistic approach to psychotherapy wherein the emotional, physical, and spiritual (mind, body and spirit) aspects of life are integrated into a functional wholeness and lasting hope.   * that people have the ability to uncover the hidden answers to their problems. I encourage them to connect with their own unique internal wisdom and inner voice. If they are Christian, I believe that the Holy Spirit will reveal the answers to them if they open themselves to listening for His voice. Within the integrative therapeutic spectrum, some of the theories that I utilize are:   * Client-centered therapy, * Rational Emotive Behavior therapy, * Experiential psychotherapy, * Cognitive Behavioral therapy, * Mind/Body Work, and * Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Additionally, I believe that the therapeutic process is greatly enhanced by the use of creative interventions like: * art * music * writing (narrative and poetic) * movement * nature * play * spiritual direction Services include individual and group counseling. Groups offered include: * Codependency Recovery * Mourning to Dancing: Biblical stepwork for partners of sex addicts * Partners of Sex Addict Support and Process Group * The Artist's Way * Self-Care and Stress Reduction Group
