About My Business:

Abigail founded The Johnston Law Firm in 2010 after spending ten years in both Virginia and Florida advocating for and in the areas of civil litigation, Family Law, and Dependency. In Abigail, adults and children alike find a strong, creative, and passionate advocate. Whether a case involves complex financial issues, business interests, real property, etc., the details of each client's concerns and situation become Abigail's priority and focus for the duration of the case and beyond. Abigail is also committed to child advocacy and protecting the best interests of minor children. Her experience and expertise from the beginning puts clients at ease. Recognizing that conflict, even in families, provides an opportunity to solve problems and seek solutions for each member of a family in crisis, Abigail welcomes the opportunity to come alongside her clients and assist them through the legal process. Whether this results in litigation or a positive settlement outcome, each of Abigail's clients recognizes that they are not alone in the process. Since her move back to the Central Florida area in 2002, Abigail has worked closely with the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) and participating in Teen Court. Abigail's strong commitment to pro bono work and giving back to the community has been recognized by the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association in 2005 and 2009. Additionally, in 2009, Governor Crist appointed Abigail to the One Church One Child (OCOC) Board of Directors. One Church One Child is an organization dedicated to connecting families in community churches with children in the foster care system for adoption. Abigail is a strong supporter of her alma maters, the University of Central Florida (UCF) and Regent University's School of Law. During her tenure on the UCF Burnett Honors College Alumni Chapter Board, Abigail was awarded the Rising Star designation. In 2009, Abigail was appointed as the President of the Central Florida Regent Alumni Chapter where she works tirelessly to connect Central Florida Regent alumni from each of the 7 colleges.
