About My Business:
Contemporary neuroscience has yielded tremendous breakthroughs in our understanding of the various functions and dysfunctions of the human brain. Despite such progress, the clinical practices devoted to treating disorders of the mind and brain have only just begun applying the latest neuroscience-based tools and techniques. As such, there is a pressing need to provide assistance in the accumulation of clinical evidence to validate the application and further utilization of such neurotechnological innovations. To address this need, NICOM offers customizable clinical registry services for the developers of neurotechnological tools and techniques that will serve as a repository of the most effective treatment parameters for a given indication, as measured by neurocognitive and neurophysiological effects. NICOM provides services to identify the primary outcome measures that would need to be collected for each indication for which a given intervention has been targeted, assist in the accumulation of clinical evidence to evaluate the effectiveness of that intervention, deploy consumer- and/or provider-facing software/hardware applications and clinical registries to facilitate data collection, and apply sophisticated data analyses to evaluate the cost effectiveness of service delivery as it relates to long-term costs of care. In this way, NICOM will help to establish the evidence base for the optimization of these brain-based interventions, develop algorithms to guide further refinement and clinical applications, and provide strategic advice on commercial deployment and market positioning. Essentially, NICOM serves as a boutique contract research organization (CRO) specializing in emerging neurotechnologies, clinical optimization for a given indication, and health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) for the mental healthcare services industry.
