About My Business:

http://Amberspire.com/francois-lavergne-a-champagne-life Marie-Madeleine Lavergne married Marquis François de La Fayette in 1655. She formed a close friendship with Madame de Sévigné and François de La Rochefoucauld who introduced her to many literary luminaries of the time, including Racine. Her most famous novel La Princesse de Clèves is an immense success published anonymously in 1678. The work is often taken to be the first true French novel. She died on May 25th 1693. Her grave remains at the Saint-Sulpice Church in Paris Place Saint-Sulpice in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Lafayette’s lineage appears to be one of the oldest in Auvergne. One of Lafayette’s ancestors was a companion-at-arms who led Joan of Arc’s army. The House of La Fayette is a French noble family established during the Middle-Age by the lords of the fief of La Fayette. Its most illustrious members is the Marquis de La Fayette (1757-1834): important participant in the American Revolution, the 1789 French Revolution and the 1830 Revolution. In the American Revolution, Lafayette served as a major-general in the Continental Army under George Washington.
