About My Business:

We are energetic, dynamic sound designers, music makers and producers. Enhancing moving image with sound is our passion. We believe that every film or campaign will benefit from having bespoke sound design and music, which in turn will help to tell the story, heighten the emotion and create an original and memorable audio identity for your brand or project. Echoic was founded by long term musical collaborators David Johnston and Tom Gilbert who have a wealth of knowledge, skills and industry experience. David has a masters in creative music technology and is a composer, producer and collector of rare analog synths. He has a career history in radio production working at Kiss in Bristol creating audio content for radio shows whilst also working on his own tracks and remixes. Tom studied creative music technology and sound engineering at Bristol college and went on to work in Television production at the BBC. After working in TV for 5 years he went onto to freelance as a location sound recordist and sound designer. At our studio we take pride in having our finger on the pulse when it comes to ground breaking technology that allows us to create, manipulate and record any sound we dream of. We create our own software instruments, record and edit sounds from the world around us and use a wide range of analog gear, real instruments, traditional and not so traditional recording techniques to create a unique sound palette that suits your project. We'd love to talk to you so give us a call, drop us an email or pop into the studio anytime.
