About My Business:

Jarbo Productions is a film and video making enterprise directed by Graham Gall who uses a range of associates in the industry as required. Graham is also a professional actor. He has a large network of actors in the Canberra/Sydney region and as such is increasingly being approached to cast film and TV productions for producers in both Canberra and Sydney. Jarbo Productions is also producing Actors and Voice Over Showreels and Web Sites. Graham Gall is a late blooming mature aged Director who directed his first serious short in 2007. He is based in the Australian capital city of Canberra. Having been a keen filmmaker in his younger days when he used 8mm gear, Graham was distracted for 40 years (apart from home video) playing guitar in bands. Through his new found passion of acting and being on set, he re-discovered the joy of film making and since 2005 has studied and practised continuously all aspects of the industry including screen writing, videography, directing, producing, lighting, sound, editing and casting.  This has been helped along with spending time on professional sets as an actor or extra absorbing all aspects of the process including notable Directors Baz Luhrmann (Australia) and Bruce Beresford (Mao’s Last Dancer). Graham was a communications manager in the Australian Public Service from 1996 to 2003 including managing an in-house corporate video production facility. He was Executive Producer on several Australian Apprenticeship national television campaigns for the Australian Government. In total Graham has directed seven short films (3 won awards-including top 20 finalist Australian Diet Coke TVC) and a Doritos TV Commercial (‘Top 50’ Australia award). In 2009 Graham worked as First Assistant Director on Simon Weaving’s feature ‘The Competition’, now in postproduction. The short feature ‘Wisdom’ (50mins) is Graham’s biggest Directorial project to date and is the next step in preparing to Direct full length features. Graham has a Hitchcock inspired noir short (18mins) in post production to be released in the second half 2011.
