About My Business:

Janice Webber, PT, CAFCI, CST (certified) is a traditionally trained registered physiotherapist with over 25 years of clinical experience. Her practice uses traditional methods such as exercise programs, manual therapies as well as non-traditional methods such as: acupuncture, intramuscular stimulation (IMS), manual therapy, connective tissue therapy, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulations, advanced cranial therapy, and vascular therapy. She has, over 10 years experience, working in the field of women's health including problems such as urinary stress incontinence, urge incontinence, pelvic pain which may include the physical issues associated with sexual abuse, and nocturia. She has treated children for a variety of issues including urinary incontinence problems, pain issues, difficulty with their sucking mechanism (babies), difficulty meeting developmental milestones (babies and infants), and birth trauma. Janice incorporates Tai Chi in her repertoire of physiotherapy methods as a means of having fun while exercising. Tai Chi is effective in improving balance, coordination, muscle strength, cardiovascular fitness, slowing the progression of osteoporosis and general strength. Fun while exercising is also a great way to reduce stress. Janice teaches Tai Chi 4 Health and Fitness Classes, short form of the 73 form, and has been studying the 24 form for the last 1 ½ years. She is certified in Tai Chi for Arthritis, Tai Chi for Osteoporosis, Tai Chi for Diabetes, Tai Chi @ Work and teaches a Tai Chi for Stress Reduction class/workshop that she developed. Janice is the President of The Connective Tissue Therapies Society and the Atlantic Tai Chi Association. Janice has been working in Nova Scotia for the last 7 years.
