Have you signed up for QuickBooks Online in the last sixty days for Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, or Advanced? As an Intuit QuickBooks Solution Provider, I can switch you from your "new" subscription (usually at 50% off for three months and started in the last 60 days) to my special rate of 50% off for 12 months. Why pay more? Prices are $10 a month for Simple Start, $17.50 for Essentials, $30 for Plus, and $75 for Advanced.

Just a reminder to those of you who use QuickBooks even in a network environment that you should backup your company file at least once a week within the program, in single user, and on the server or the machine hosting the file. Doing so lets the program verify the integrity of your data and allows you to reduce the size of your transaction log file. Backing up your company file to a external hard drive or online service only copies corrupted data if your company file is damaged.

Want to take your clients out for a business meal? Under recent IRS guidance, taxpayers may continue to deduct 50 percent of the cost of business meals if the taxpayer (or an employee of the taxpayer) is present and the food or beverages are not considered lavish or extravagant. It also includes meals purchased separately at an entertainment event but not the entertainment. https://www.intuitiveaccountant.com/tax-and-practice-management/irs-issues-guidance-on-meals-and-entertainment/

Owe money to a hospital? Always ask for uncompensated care, no matter what your income is. Dependents, self-employment, & other expenses are sometime factored in the calculations. You might get it, a payment plan, or both. It's like the lottery. You can't win unless you play or ask. I wrote off $900,000 in charges while working for a hospital many years ago. https://www.doh.wa.gov/DataandStatisticalReports/HealthcareinWashington/HospitalandPatientData/HospitalPatientInformationandCharityCare

Are you on QuickBooks Online Plus ($60 a month) or Essentials ($35) but don't need to pay for services you don't need and just need a basic accounting package? You can switch to Simple Start and save. You can switch from Plus or Essentials to Simple Start without losing their existing data because they don't need any of the features of Plus by following the following instructions. https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Account-management/Downgrade-Your-QuickBooks-Online-Subscription/m-p/18607
