Clients I'm Seeking:

Someone with good taste, the desire to create something beautiful and inspiring along with a realistic budget. It's not the size of the project or the budget that matters as much as the desire to create something interesting.

About My Business:

Ansaldi Shaw skillfully designs architecture for your site, needs, and lifestyle inspired by history and regional architecture. Custom homes, contemporary adobe haciendas, renovations and additions, commercial buildings and interiors, restaurant design and special projects. Our residential work includes large adobe haciendas, homes, and renovations. We have extensive knowledge of regional architectural history and Southwest styles. Our work seamlessly combines historic architectural elements with modern materials and methods. Our designs are site specific and also evolve from our clients’ individual needs and lifestyles. Our commercial work includes restaurants, retail, and unique projects such as “Anjali” spa in Tucson, small building design, commercial renovations, and tenant improvements. We have extensive knowledge and experience with interior architecture including space planning, lighting, color, and furnishings. In addition, we have developed new architectural concepts for branding as demonstrated in “Satellite Coffee” located in Albuquerque. I have 25 years of experience working in architecture and design firms and have been a partner in my own firm since 1998. Upon graduating from Texas A&M University in 1986 I worked for internationally acclaimed designer Juan Pablo Molyneux in New York on the design of residential projects around the world. From there I worked briefly as an assistant project manager on the lobby renovation of the Century Paramount Hotel in Times Square designed by Philippe Starck. I moved to western Connecticut where I worked on historic preservation and renovation projects. After getting married my wife and I moved to New Mexico where I was a designer and project manager for Studio Arquitectura in Santa Fe and worked on projects ranging from a $5 million restaurant for celebrity chef Mark Miller in San Francisco to Carol Burnett’s house in Santa Fe.
