About My Business:


Part marketer, part publicist, part audience development and strategy consultant, part community manager, Maura Lafferty worked with the American Bach Soloists in Fall 2010 on a variety of publicity campaigns, including two sold-out performances of Handel’s Messiah. Previously, Maura served as Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator for the New Century Chamber Orchestra, and in that capacity she directed advertising and public relations for two subscription campaigns, and supported a national team for the release of Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg’s first album with the ensemble. Maura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Oboe Performance from the University of Maryland, where she pursued extensive coursework in music history. She has worked with the Washington National Opera Marketing department on projects such as developing under-40 audience programs, group sales, and graphic design as well as with marketing staff at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center and the Cypress String Quartet. Her twitter feed has generated a dedicated following upwards of 2,000 musicians, artists, administrators and colleagues in the industry, which she has successfully leveraged in support of a variety of projects and an increasing number of independent clients.
