Andrew Lockhart is a partner in Anonymous Gallery and the Founder/Director of prō jekt′ : nyc, a New York based, non-traditional consultancy that links brands and agencies with creatives from around the globe who exist and work in the near future of trends. His out-of-the-box thinking is translated through the work that he involves himself in, be it art, fashion, music, media and/or marketing. Over the past fifteen years, Mr. Lockhart has maintained personal relationships with global opinion leaders and trend creators from every industry, while fostering business relationships with brands and agencies. His uncanny ability to translate messages from both brands and agencies (and then on to consumers) through unique and timely concepts has earned him the respect and gravitas of his savvy peers, while allowing him to maintain his own personal brand of authenticity. As a former student of Parsons School of Design in New York, Mr. Lockhart began his New York career working for the prestigious Visionaire magazine, where he worked in marketing for both Visionaire and V. He left the publication to become Events Manager at groundbreaking lifestyle marketing company KBA and during his tenure at KBA, consulted for brands such as RJ Reynolds and Coca-Cola, curating and producing large scale events such as the annual Bartenders Ball and The Seven Deadly Sins. From there, he became a partner in Prophecy Magazine and, as the Director of Business Development was instrumental in making it one of the most forward thinking independent publications on newsstands. The publication won a number of awards and was featured in the Visionaire curated exhibition, "Megazines", which highlighted 150 of the world's best independent publications. Mr. Lockhart founded prō jekt′ : nyc in late 2005 after years of building global relationships across a number of industries and creating a reputation as someone who could connect the dots. Primarily an idea shop that advises agencies, brands and media companies on innovative and unique ways to create a dialogue with consumers, the shop also implements public relations campaigns, advises on sponsorship and event implementation. Current and past clients include Snob Media Group, Russian Film Week, S Magazine, Nylon Magazine, BIG Magazine, BlackBook Magazine, Cone Denim, Nike, Converse, Philips, V Tech, Altoids, K7! Records, Ito En, 42 Below Vodka, Christiania Vodka, Sony Pictures, Diesel Jeans, Beaujolais Wines, Catherine Fulmer, Reflex Advertising, The Socrates Sculpture Park, Chelsea Green Publishers, Hachette Books, Iceland Fashion Week, Palm Pictures as well as a number of luxury brands. Events he has worked on as a creative consultant have included the Diesle xXx Party in New York City, Iceland Fashion Week, The Cone Denim "Genius II" book launch, The United Nude NYC Flagship store opening, and others. Mr. Lockhart has further expanded his unique skill set since becoming a partner at Anonymous Gallery. Joining partner Joseph Henrikson at Anonymous Gallery in November of 2008, Mr. Lockhart focuses his efforts on the gallery's marketing, media and Special Projects program, allowing his partner to focus his efforts on the curatorial programming. In this role he has been instrumental in forging strategic partnerships between the gallery. institutions and brands, as well as actively building a public art program with his partner. Past projects of the gallery include public art in Times Square with the Times Square Alliance and the SCOPE Art Show, curation of the annual Bicycle Film Festival, the newly launched Street Gallery with Outdoor Agency Mediacy and others. The two continue to forge new pathways within the corridors of the art world by constantly pushing the envelope and stretching the boundaries of the establishment.
