Remedy was formed in 2000 and concentrates solely on the private sector, where Ian has 25 years’ experience as an accountant in owner run SMEs turning over £1m to £26m. In early 2009 the company’s focus moved to supporting the SME market and now has three key service areas: 1.) Developing businesses through growth programmes 2.) Recovering / turning around failing businesses 3.) Grooming business for sale to achieve the best after tax value for the owner Concentrating on the growth area of business which would be of interest to Resolve, we have developed businesses by identifying the 5 key areas of: Internal controls and management information Marketing & market understanding and growth Growth from increasing more profitable sales Staff training and development Use of the latest technology and systems Growth from increasing more profitable sales is probably the key area, and clients are mentored on a daily basis. A timescale is agreed, personal and business objectives are set and controls put in place to ensure they are achieved. These would target improving the following areas: Lead generation Lead conversion rate Average sale value per customer Number of purchases per customer Operational KPI’s Customer satisfaction Being a remote sounding board allows the business owner to discuss and develop plans and ideas, and be able to talk business to a person who has been there and done it themselves. Remedy can put in place business turnaround / recovery strategies and then grow the business from a very low starting point. We can also identify barriers to growth, and through our substantial strategic partner network, we can provide solutions. Barriers to growth are generally finance, skills, market knowledge and management information, and we can assist in all of those areas. Remedy are proud to be accredited advisors for IBD Business Advice Group. Members have to prove their competence and satisfy the high standards set, and must undertake the company's comprehensive training programme. All advisors must have been Board Directors and / or run their own business and prove a track record of success.
