More connections are not necessary good for business. Just like back links, there's more value in the connection itself rather than the numbers. A few solid, reputable referrals, like authoritative back links show professionalism and authority. A hundred links/referrals from inappropriate or unrelated sources have little value. If a referral is a company/person with a bad reputation or is seen as a spammer, you lose credibility. So use caution, such as sites like this, research and review.
