Referral Key is free to use but we still try to provide as much support as possible. With millions of professionals using Referral Key, the best way to find answers to the most common questions is to take a peek below.
You can click here and download the free e-book which covers every aspect of the Referral Key platform. We'll update this book as new features are added. You can also read more about Referral Key in the news here.

Simply log into your account, choose "settings" at the top of the page, then go to the "Add or Remove Email Addresses" section. To change your email address, add a second email address, verify it by clicking the link within the verification email that we'll send, then you can make the second address your primary address by clicking “make primary”.
There's no way for Referral Key to know that two email addresses belong to the same person unless you tell us by following the steps below.
Log into your primary account (the one you want to keep), choose "settings" at the top of the page, then go to "Add or Remove Email Addresses". To merge your other account, simply add the email address associated with that account and verify it by clicking the link within the verification email we'll send. Referral Key will merge your colleagues and data into the primary account once you verify a second address.
Log into your account, click on the photo place holder in the left-hand column of Referral Key, and choose an image file from your computer. Referral Key will accept Jpeg, Gif, and Bitmap files. If you’re still having trouble, it may be because your browser is out-of-date; you may want to update your browser or try a different one. Note, this feature does not work on tablets like the iPad.
Log into your account, click the "Colleagues" tab, click the gear icon next to the colleague you want to delete, then click "remove this person".
Referral Key follows all CAN SPAM best practices. The platform is growing very fast and people who know you may be asking you to join their referral network. Given the interconnected nature of networks, it's not uncommon for someone to receive invites from several different colleagues within a short period of time. If you’re not interested in receiving invites, you can always click ‘unsubscribe’ which appears in the footer of every email we send. Remember, there’s no way for Referral Key to know that two different email addresses belong to the same person so be sure to unsubscribe all your email addresses.
Referral Key does not send any email invites on your behalf without you directly prompting us to via a multistep process. After you create a CSV file of contacts you wish to invite to exchange referrals with, upload the file into the Referral Key inviter, decide which recipients to invite by checking or un-checking the checkboxes and then selecting “Add”, your invitees will receive ONE personalized invite to exchange referrals from you. The email invite you prompt us to send will always include your name, your company’s name, the recipient’s name and the recipient’s company name. We may personalize the email invite with other data points you chose to include in the CSV file of recipient contacts you upload to the inviter on Referral Key. This data includes but is not limited to recipient “position”, “company name”, “email address”, “first name”, “last name” etc.. It may also include data contributed by other existing members. Your email invite is designed to be a personable and gentle notice that simply lets the recipient know that you’re interested in exchanging referrals with their company on Referral Key and encourages them to accept your invite. Though all invites are personalized to be unique… below is a sample invite. Referral Key’s import feature is free to use and you are 100% responsible for your own use of the site as well as its features. Do not invite people you do not know. Do not invite people who are uninterested in referral networking with you. Do not invite people for whom a small business referral service would not be relevant. If we believe you are abusing the feature we reserve the right to terminate your account.

Given Referral Key’s popularity and the interconnected nature of networks, it’s common for other's to invite people you happen to have invited completely independent of you. For example, we can't tell a member that he can't invite his brother simply because his brother did not accept your invite. Simply put, you may not have been the first to invite a particular contact and you may not be the last.
