Valok Global Midrange Software Solutions (VGMSS) was first incorporated in 1987. Since inception, our goal has been to provide high quality software solutions and services for our customers. Initially, Valok focused on consulting services covering a wide range of subjects including Technical Services, Capacity Management, Performance Management, Application Development and IT Security. In an effort to improve our customer service, Valok introduced software solutions to its portfolio in 2001, specialising in Midrange (AS400, Windows, Linux and Unix) application development and systems management solutions. We have successfully entered this market and are now the authorised agent in Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific for the following leading software vendors: Remain B.V. Gumbo Software Unicom Systems SoftLanding Systems Bsafe Solutions Original Software Tango/04 Computing Group ProData Computer Services Valok’s diverse customer base includes Financial Institutions, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, Food Ingredient Manufacturers, Automotive Industry, Rural Industry as well as Transport and Insurance Companies situated in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Malaysia and India. Valok is seeking to further expand its customer base in the Asia Pacific Region. Our staff has a combined total of over 60 years experience in a large number platforms including IBM’s zOS, OS/400, Unix and Windows. SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS: Our extensive midrange software solution offerings cover all aspects of System and Application Management including: Software Management Source Code Versioning Helpdesk Request & Incident Tracking Message and Event Monitoring Performance Management Capacity Management Problem Determination Aids IT Security Auditing Process Automation Conversion Aids SERVICE & SUPPORT: Valok, as part of its agreement with the vendors we represent, provides Level 1 and in most cases Level 2 support for all software solutions we market. To this end, we maintain copies of current software and associated documentation for distribution to our customers. Furthermore, we assist our customers in the initial problem determination stage and carry out searches for any known solutions to rectify reported faults or issues. If required, we escalate issues to the vendor’s Level 2 or 3 Technical Support Teams or Development Labs. We assist our customer with the implementation of fixes, software upgrades and/or other tasks required to rectify problems a customer may have had reported. Our aim is to have at least 75% of issues solved locally without reference to the vendor. We also expect to provide the customer with feedback on 85% of queries raised within one business day. Where licensing keys are required for products to operate, we either create the keys locally, or organise for the creation of such keys, depending on vendor requirements. Our support staff will participate and assist our customers in the planning and implementation of our solutions to ensure that the customer obtains the maximum value from the installed products. Should training and education be required we provide, on-site customer training workshops for our major products. Internet based training facilities are also available. Our expertise in the regulatory compliance field is also available to our customers. We understand and can assist you with frameworks such as COSO, CobiT, ITIL or ISO17799. Supporting our customers is an issue, which Valok has never taken lightly! To ensure our staff is up to the task, we send our key staff regularly overseas to attend advanced training & education seminars as well as hands-on workshops at the vendor’s head offices. Valok’s staff attend regularly training sessions and Business Partner Conferences. Such activities not only improve our staff’s product knowledge but also enhance their inter-personal relationships with the relevant Vendor’s Sales, Marketing and Support Teams. Our Support Team is equipped with the latest hardware and software facilities utilising “state of the art” facilities to assist our customers with whatever issues and concerns they may have.
